 The Political Crisis That Led to Liz Truss Resignation 


The current Prime Minister of Great Britain announced her resignation on Thursday. The inspiration for her decisions in the economic program she created for the country. She hadn't even paid off all its debts in six weeks before she needed to resign.


Within the next week, our leadership election will be completed.


Ms. Truss took a moment to speak outside her Number 10 Downing Street office, where she accepted that she couldn't deliver the promises she made when she was running for Conservative leader; some members of her party didn't have faith in these promises anymore.


Given the situation, I no longer have confidence that we can implement the mandate on which I was elected, said Theresa May. As a result, she has spoken to His Majesty The King and notified him of her resignation as Leader of the Conservative Party.

With only six weeks as Prime Minister, Truss had to abandon her entire policy program after it triggered a bond market rout and an increase in her disapprovals, which was paired with a drop in the ratings of her Conservative Party.


In the past week, Theresa May has lost two of her four most senior ministers in government and faced opposition as her new finance minister announces a plan that opposes hers. In addition, she was laughed at during an event where she tried to defend her mistakes.
