Rameshwar Dadhich, a close aide of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, has withdrawn his nomination as an independent candidate for the upcoming state Assembly polls and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Another former Congress leader, Vinod Sharma, also joined the BJP. Dadhich cited his admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision-making capacity and credited him for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The Rajasthan Assembly polls will take place on November 25.
