On Thursday, the Center declared the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP), established by incarcerated separatist Shabir Ahmad Shah, as an "unlawful association." According to a notification from the Union Home Ministry, the JKDFP was founded in 1998 by Shabir Shah, who is recognized for promoting anti-India sentiments and advocating pro-Pakistan views.
